One of Scotland’s youngest distilleries, Mannochmore Distillery was founded in 1971 by John Haig & Co, a subsidiary of Distillers Company Ltd (DCL), at the same site as Glenlossie. Production halted in 1985 and DCL was was acquired by Guinness in 1986. Guinness merged Distillers Company with Arthur Bell & Sons in 1987 to form United Distillers, which led to the Mannochmore F&F release after Mannochmore production resumed in 1989.
