Linkwood

    Linkwood Distillery is located in Elgin. It was founded by Peter Brown in 1821, producing from 1825. The distillery would remain in the Brown family, becoming the Linkwood-Glenlivet company in 1898. After the death of managing director Innes Cameron in 1932, who by then was the largest shareholder, Linkwood Distillery was sold to Scottish Malt Distillers. Scottish Malt Distillers was a subsidiary of The Distillers Company which became part of United Distillers in 1987, leading to the Linkwood Flora & Fauna release.
