Craigellachie

Located in Aberlour, Craigellachie Distillery was founded in 1891. It has change ownership several times and was controlled by Glenlivet from 1896 until 1916 when it was sold to Peter Mackie. It would then be sold to Distillery Company Limited in 1927 and Scottish Malt Distiller, a subsidiary of The Distillers Company, in 1930. The Distillers Company would becoming part of United Distillers in 1987 leading to the Craigellachie Flora and Fauna release. Craigellachie was sold to John Dewar & Sons in 1998.
